Gomer Edwin Evans (born September 1947 in Cardiff, Wales) is a Welsh musician and composer who now lives in Lübeck in Germany.
He plays classical guitar, electric guitar, acoustic guitar, piano, piano accordion, synthesizer, bass guitar, harmonica and flute.
Evans studied classical guitar and music theory at the Cardiff College of Music at Cardiff Castle (modern Welsh College of Music & Drama).
At 19, Evans started professionally as a musician and composer to work.
He first worked as a studio musician. This meant for him to play every day, the music of other people.
This work was worth while for him financially frustrated him but also because he's not been able to play his own music.
In the 1970s, Evans toured the U.S. and played, especially in different colleges, mostly folk music.
At the end of his U.S. tour in New York he discovered a whole new world for him, the street music.
Thereafter, he toured as a street musician in Europe.
"It was a great way to discover the world" , he said it. 1981 Evans began to compose music relaxation. He has worked with leading psychologists in Germany and the UK.
Today Evans has an extensive range of CDs on the market. He has composed music for TV, cinema and song.
